November weekend fishing

Well it’s that time of year again when the leaves are falling and the temps are too. Here in Kansas that means the fishing is good. Over the weekend I had a couple of chances to get out and do a little fishing.

Friday and Saturday I fished Moon Lake on Ft. Riley. The trout were biting good! Friday I managed to hook a golden colored rainbow. It’s quite a unique fish.

A guy just down from me pulled in a nice 18″er. Most of ours were in the 10-15″ range.

Sunday I checked out the KDWP website and it showed that Belleville City lake was supposed to be stocked with rainbows, so the wife and I drove up to check it out. It turned out that the stocking had not arrived yet. Lucky for use the bluegill and crappie were up close in the rocks and provided us with some fun.

Not big but still fun to catch!

So far November has been alot of fun fishing!
